Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

These porcelain tumblers feature a bright white interior and rim that transitions to a speckled effect over either a deep green or deep blue celadon glaze. Their compact form evokes a stemless wineglass and is the perfect size for wine, cocktails, or mocktails. An updated twist on mid-century glazes, these tumblers will add a modern flair to any barware or tableware set.
