This ceramic Christmas wreath will be a holiday stunner in any home. The piece was initially thrown face-down on the wheel in a concave shape, so that when inverted and trimmed, the final form would be convex, mimicking the curve of an evergreen wreath. The pattern, inspired by Chicago’s own Prairie Style stained glass, was taped line by line prior to glazing and then carefully peeled away before firing. The multiple glazes were applied individually, section by section, to achieve the final multi-colored wreath.
