Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

Ceramic Wall Clock - Confetti

Ceramic clocks are a special find, especially when they are wheelthrown. This clock in buff stoneware was glazed in a glossy white before being sprinkled with recycled glaze chips from other projects, creating a beautiful confetti effect unique to each piece. Surprisingly lightweight, the clock can hang from a single screw or hook.
