These snowflake ornaments began as a large thin disk of clay thrown on the wheel, and then a texture was applied with a rib as it spun. Once cut out, each snowflake carries that sense of organic movement with it, enhanced by the interaction of the soft white glaze with the dark brown stoneware beneath.
