Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

This glossy stoneware tumbler is finished in a lush burgundy glaze, reminiscent of the wine it is meant to hold. The smooth, sanded base of dark stoneware rests comfortably in the palm, providing a tactile as well as visual experience. Perfect for wine, of course, but equally suited to water, whiskey, or any other drink, this tumbler will add a touch of subtle glamour to any home. *Please note each tumbler is sold as an individual unit, not as a set.
