Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

These handmade ceramic pumpkins, which are hollow on the inside, are initially thrown on the wheel before being altered to create their distinctive pumpkin texture. Glazed in a variety of colors, some more traditional and some more whimsical, the pumpkins will add handcrafted beauty to any home decor or fall tablescape.

  • Size is approximately 5” by 5”

  • Due to the handmade nature of the items, each pumpkin will be slightly different. Pumpkins were photographed as a group to demonstrate their variety. Please note a single order contains one pumpkin.
