Ceramic clocks are a special find, especially when they are wheelthrown. This one hearkens back to clocks of the midcentury era but with a modern update. The crisp linework, inspired by starburst clock patterns, was applied by hand before glazing, and then peeled away before firing to feature blue and chartreuse ovals against a buff stoneware clay. Surprisingly lightweight, the clock can hang from a single screw or hook. A stud or wall anchor is recommended.
