Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

These confetti vases fit in well with a variety of home decor, making them perfect for gift-giving. Glaze chips are saved from other projects that use a tape resist technique and then are sprinkled on the satin white glaze while it is still damp. Due to the organic application of the chips, each piece is unique, adding whimsical color to any spot in your home.
