This salt cellar was thrown as an enclosed form, and only later during trimming was the lid separated from the body. This construction allows for the tight fit and clean line of the stoneware jar. Recycled glaze chips, collected from the artist’s other tape resist work, are sprinkled onto the still-damp white gloss glaze before firing, giving each piece a unique look that remains cohesive within the entire confetti line.
