Inspired by the peony blooms in the artist’s own garden, this lightweight ceramic wreath adds a touch of summer to any door, wall, or exterior patio. The piece was initially thrown face-down on the wheel in a concave shape so that when inverted and trimmed, the final form would be convex, mimicking the curve of a wreath. The pattern was taped line by line prior to glazing and then carefully peeled away before firing. The wreath can be hung outdoors as well as inside.
