Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

Confetti Planter

Confetti Planter

$70.00

These stoneware planters get their confetti design from recycled glaze chips created from the artist's other taped design. Each one get a sprinkle of chips on the still-damp white glaze, creating a confetti pattern unique to each piece but still united by a common color palette. Their playful use of color make them perfect gifts for a variety of home designs.
