Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

Scented Candle

Scented Candle

$32.00

These scented candles, which hold approximately 6 ounces of wax, are available in three different colors on the same dark brown clay. Concave carved lines create a band of texture in the middle, allowing the glazes to break in horizontal bands. All color choices have the same scent - a light bamboo fragrance that isn’t overpowering. Once the wax is finished, the ceramic cylinders can be used for tea lights or any other purpose. *Please note candles are sold individually, not as a complete set for a single order.
