Chicago potter inspired by mid-century forms and Chicago's architectural history.

Anne E. Terpstra is a Chicago potter who throws functional and decorative work for the home and garden. She’s always been drawn to mid-century modern design, and this is reflected in the clean lines of many of her forms. She also loves the contrast of glaze against clay body and explores this through a variety of taped lines that let the fired clay play against the surrounding glaze. Many of her designs are inspired by stained glass from Chicago’s own Prairie style, along with art deco and mid-century patterns.

These porcelain holiday trees were thrown on the wheel before being carved to create a luminary experience. Glazed in three color options, both inside and out, the luminaries will add some icy glamour to your holidays and a warm glow to those dark winter nights.

Size:

  • 10.5-11.5 inches high

  • Luminaries will work with either battery-operated lights or tea lights. Live flame will not harm the luminary but could make the surface hot after time. Use caution when handling.
